Thermal Imaging
Thermography is done with a thermal imaging camera, to detect differences in temperature unseen by the human eye. Using a thermal camera during an inspection lets me see air leaks, problematic electrical circuits and even hidden moisture intrusion spots, where the wet material's temperature is much lower than the surrounding area.
Boroscope
A boroscope is used during the inspection to get to those hard to reach places. It helps to get an eye on the insides of drain pipes, downspouts, or any other normally inaccessible area of concern. Even better, it can take pictures that can be tacked right on to your inspection report.
Moisture Meter
A moisture meter lets an inspector detect the presence and level of moisture in structural components such as masonry, wood and drywall.
The process is non destructive, so no holes or cleanup, just data! A moisture meter can reveal moisture intrusion and identify problem areas. Water can be the most destructive force on a home, and a moisture meter assists in locating it where it should not be.
Drone
​By using a drone for inspections, no roof is inaccessible! Some inspectors are content to inspect components from ground level, but at Miller Property Inspections we will take it to the skies! Using a DJI drone with telescopic camera, all images are crisp and clear. Fully certified by the FAA part 107.
